Chemistry Experiment with Graphic Overlay

A Welcome from Ashley Alexander, Interim Director, Office of Sponsored Programs

Hello and welcome to our website! Whether an esteemed colleague on the American University campus or a respected member of our world-wide community, we value your visit and hope to assist you in whatever interest or need brings you here.

The Office of Sponsored Programs offers a range of services for faculty, staff, and students seeking external funding for research, training, service, and other scholarly and creative activities. OSP assists with the training and searching for external funding sources; reviews and approves grant applications; negotiates award terms and conditions; negotiates and approves different types of sponsored research contracts; facilitates other post award non-financial research administration tasks, and conducts training in the ever expanding world of research administration. Sections of our website address these services, and we encourage you to visit them.

Perhaps the greatest resource available to you here is our knowledgeable and welcoming staff. They are prepared to advise and otherwise assist you with any general or particular need. We invite you to identify an appropriate contact within our staff directory or contact our main office at 202-885-3440.

We welcome your inquiries, and look forward to assisting you from start to successful completion.
