Formal admission to the major requires a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale) and departmental approval.

- Students are encouraged to contact the Statistics (MS) program director as early in their undergraduate study as possible
- Applicants should have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 in major courses and complete MATH-401 Probability (3) and STAT-402 Introduction to Mathematical Statistics (3) by the end of the junior year
