On January 8, 2019, the entire campus came together to offer a day-long program of training and community to furloughed federal employees and contractors.
With one week’s notice, the Classes Without Quizzes team organized the logistics, content, and promotion of an event for approximately 500 people. The day was an extraordinary success. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. There was praise for the quality of the workshops, gratitude for the level of care and service provided, and appreciation for the sense of community spirit that AU fostered.
The team’s work to deliver Classes Without Quizzes acknowledged our public servants, showcased AU’s talents, received great press attention, raised the university’s visibility, and proved that we can do extraordinary things as a community.
In recognition of their exceptional work and accomplishments, we are pleased to present the Classes Without Quizzes team with the 2019 Faculty and Staff Collaboration Award.
